you cannot believe how much i slept these 2 days. gosh! yesterday, i slept from 6am to 2pm, a good 8 hours, but that was acceptable because i was down with a fever. then last night, i slept at 2am and guess what time i woke up today?? 6.45 pm. yes, 6.45 in the evening!!! i was so super duper shocked lah! i dint know i was that tired to have slept for more than 16hours uninterrupted! oh my...it's not as if i really lacked sleep leh.

anyway, after months and months and months of planning, FOC has finally come to a close last night. maybe because i wasnt one of the main masterminds behind the camp, i dint feel any strong emotions when the camp closed. i dint have to plan any programme, i dint have to do logistics, i dint have to count heads and make sure there's enuf to eat and room to sleep, i dint have to do anything much really. i only had to worry about balancing the accounts, which is all just maths. i'm glad kester let me fiddle with his camera, so i could be attached to mee kia to take photos for them, if not i would really have been almost non-existent. and oh, standing in at the last minute as a "ghost" gave me some sense of involvement too.

and how can i forget that i was part of "hotel charlie"? =D i remember when i was told that i would be the one announcing "we will break camp now", i dint think much of it, thought it was an easy job and just a minor role. little did i know that it would be so difficult. 80pairs of eyes staring at me, all believing everything i was saying. a scene i will remember for some time to come. i felt bad for telling a lie, and at the same time, was worried i couldnt pull it off. i wondered what my facial expression was when i was talking to them. some year 2s tell me i looked as if i was going to burst out laughing - really meh?! i thot i was quite convincing alr! i thot i made myself look very helpless alr! HAHA =P the worse thing was having to wait for char to cue the people upstairs. i thot i cued her alr, but the next stage of the plot dint happen, i was caught a little off-guard and dint know how to react! there was this one point in time that i only said, "OK..." cos i dint know what else to say! i was so scared i couldnt handle the situation! thank goodness it all went well in the end and the freshies bought what i said. =) heh, but it was tough acting as if i dint know anything at all! -.-

when leigh said goodbye and left after everything last night, it suddenly dawned upon me that "that's it, it's the end". this foc main comm will now be part of history and next year, it will be a different team working on it. how on earth did we even get here? i cant seem to remember! =P it's been a fruitful journey, and i'm glad i was part of it. at least it's something meaningful to remember for my days in sci. =)
