with the start of the registration period, the word "exchange" has certainly been on the minds of a good number of the cohort and it has certainly caused some excitement (anxiety too).

i was at the MICA session, for which i went "wow, so interesting", "sounds exciting leh", "better than i expected" throughout the session and getting all so hyped up about the fact that they actually have wi-fi (ok, i thot the whole of india is ulu), and that girls can walk on the streets alone at 2am in that particular city. leigh and daph said i was more excited than them even though i was there to listen for fun only. going to india for exchange is indeed a novelty lah i must say. i tried to sound my parents out about going to india, but of course, they werent very supportive of the idea. haha =P even my sister, her reaction when she first heard it - "siao4!" which was the exact same response my mum gave. -_- but ok lah, i am not too bothered about it too, cos i dun think i am serious about going to india lah huh? =P

anyway, i just finished browsing the websites of our school's partners. besides taiwan (the hostel doesnt look very appealing though), china and hongkong actually look good too, and even the swedish uni we are partnered with looks interesting.

but thinking about subject matching, taiwan and china will actually make better choices cos they have 221-equivalent (i hope the info is accurate) there. i have to take 221 (newswriting and reporting) cos if not, i cant do most, if not all the journ modules in year 3 and 4! -gasp- i know one option is to do it in year 3 sem 1, but dun want lah huh? think i will feel out of place with those dragon babies. hmmm. so i checked out the other option: whether there are vacancies in 221 NOW. and viola, there are 3 in the monday 3.30pm tutorial, and it doesnt clash with my timetable AT ALL! but if i take 221, then what should i drop? that's my headache. =(

advice please, my friends? (i have this odd feeling no one will even bother to tag though. -_-)

for now, i'm going to think about why i am a worthy NTU ambassador.
