yooohooo~! after a long long long hiatus, i'm finally back here. =) so what have i been up over the past week since my return from hong kong? well, nothing, except WORK. hahaha. maybe that explains why i've been updating much less frequently than i used to when i was in hk, since there isn't anything interesting / happening these days. =(

just to update you, my loyal readers, a bit, i am actually doing my compulsory 8-week internship back at sph. i went back to work just 2 days after my return i.e. last friday, cos i wanted to meet as much of the 8-week requirement as possible. i will be at braddell for the month or so, until 30july.

this time round, i've been posted to zaobao sports - and i was only informed on the day i reported -_- well, it did cause some "shock", mostly cos i would have expected HR to inform me at least a couple of days earlier. but on the other hand, it wasn't that bad cos i've done a month of sports 2 years back at shin min, and i know my current supervisor and 2 other colleagues, so yah, settling in was not much of a challenge, the work is. =(

okay, basically, what i do is to help translate news related to the ongoing euro 2008. not exactly rocket science i have to deal with, just that putting those english terms and words into chinese can really be a challenge at times. =) but i think i'm coping fine so far, only that i'm afraid my pace is too slow. hahaha. well, no one has complained about it yet, so yah...i'll just keep going. =P i mean, when i get more used to it, i think i will work a bit faster la. =P

actually, i was supposed to go back to my entertainment news - which might just be what i'm best suited for: don't know whether to :) or to -_-, then about a week later, i received an email from HR saying i'll be going to zaobao local news instead cos CIN has no more vacancies for me, then when i reported, they told me i'll be sent to sports instead, cos there are too many interns at local news alr. -_- now that i am recounting this, i feel like a ball being passed ard. hahaha. and that i will only stop rolling when there really is space for me. lol.

i really wish to think that i am slightly different from the rest of the interns / scholars in terms of what's in store, because very few, really very few, have / had a route like mine. i mean, i haven't done any social / local / crime / accident etc, you get the idea, type of news...on the one hand, i hope i will get to do some of it soon cos apparently, when you cover accidents, that's where you will receive the best training, but on the other, i wish i can continue to be "different" - just do my entertainment, sports or youth-related stuffs. oh well, we'll just wait and see what life has in store for me. =)

been spending my nights watching euro, and now i am waiting for the netherlands and france game to start. i think the former really plays exciting football. and euro is indeed still very exciting without england. seriously, i don't know why we have been supporting them all these while since there are many more better teams out there who play more exciting football. heh =P

alrighty, shan't go on and on anymore...shall try to return with a post asap, cos i've been "tagged" TWICE, by charmain and ailing -_- TRY lah, huh? haha =P
